Another big event this week, and a great farewell to a lovely group of students. I'll upload more photos to the Picasa album as people share them on the school network and facebook. I was honoured again to be asked to give the commencement address. This year's topic was the "Class of 2011's Guide to the Biological Basis of Behaviour." If there is a video of it somewhere, I'll upload it.

BIS Summer Fair 2011

One of the last big events of the year, the summer fair was on yesterday. Here are some photos:

There's been a lot of excitement these last few weeks, and Anya has generally been very good. She's acted out a few times recently, even though we're trying hard to make her feel included and loved.

A couple of weeks ago was the school performance of Shrek: Far Far Away (Daddy was in drag as a Wench), and Anya loved it. Last night, when we thought she was sleeping, she found a green pen...

Baby Sam's Videos

I was making some space on the iTouch and realised I hadn't shared these videos with Mum and Dad yet. Not very exciting - yet thrilling at the same time. It depends who you are. Mashed together quickly using the Windows Movie Maker.

Summer Trifle

Finally! This is my first blog post. Thank you my husband for making this for my past time. But having a new born baby, a four years old girl and "demanding" ^^, - lovable-caring husband has taken most of my time. Recently I've back to my part time job as invigilator and test supervisor too. I enjoy every part of my life!

The thing i also like are cooking and baking, trying new recipes from cooking book or cooking website. I found it as a challenge and an achievement if i could make it well. Yesterday's challenges were a teddy bear picnic in the morning and dinner invitation in the evening. I made some jelly, egg sandwiches and corn-tuna sandwiches for the picnic. I made brownies and trifle for pudding. But since the trifle was quite big so the brownies still in the fridge waiting to be eaten ^^, yummm.

The trifle by the way was wonderful. I look up the recipe from the make and takes website. I take her advice about using lemon curd instead of custard. The combination of sour and sweet just perfect! It makes you want to eat more and more! I used pineapple, tangerine, strawberry, and mango. The mangoes came from the garden in the neighbourhood and they were the sweetest mangoes we ever tasted.
I definitely making it again in the future!
